Evangelical Church (Evanjelický kostol)
The Evangelical Church is an important Classicist monument in the city. Built between 1803 and 1807, it replaced a 17th-century wooden church. Initially, the church lacked a tower, a permanent altar, and an organ. The first organ, made by Michal Podkonický, was completed after legal disputes but was replaced 20 years later by a new instrument from the Rieger Brothers. The marble main altar features the painting Christ Blessing the Chalice, a gift from Prussian King Frederick William IV.

When I was buying the tickets, I didn’t know what to expect from the concert, but I was pleasantly surprised. The church lit by candles created a truly lovely atmosphere, and the string rendition of Coldplay’s songs was absolutely beautiful and moving. During my favorite song, Fix You, I even got goosebumps from the magical, heartfelt performance, so I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Came for Zimmer, stayed for the chills. Candlelight, strings, Interstellar and Gladiator — unforgettable. Plzeň needed this!

Yesterday’s experience at the Evangelical church in Martin was truly amazing. I will definitely come to more of your concerts in the future. Beautiful music, excellent performers, and an unforgettable atmosphere throughout the entire evening.

I don’t go to concerts often, but this one was worth attending. The music was well played and the atmosphere pleasant. It was a nice way to spend the evening, and I was surprised that I enjoyed it more than I thought. I can imagine going to something similar again sometime in the future.

My girlfriend and I went to the Tribute to Coldplay concert and we were absolutely thrilled. I was curious to hear how their songs would sound performed by a string quartet, and the result exceeded all expectations. Fix You and Viva La Vida sounded incredible. Great organization, a lovely setting, and beautiful music — an experience we won’t forget anytime soon.

We went to “The Best of Film Music” concert with my friend and it was lovely. The quartet played great and the church was a bit cold, so in winter we suggest warmer clothes.
